Billing and Subscriptions
Orgonaut's billing settings let tenant owners review their current plan, start a paid subscription, open the Stripe-hosted billing portal, and understand what happens when a subscription is cancelled.
Go to:
/settings/billing
Only tenant owners can manage billing.
Upgrade from trial
If your organisation account is still in trial and has no active Stripe subscription, the billing page shows the self-serve subscription options available in your current billing currency.
Orgonaut chooses the self-serve billing currency from your default reporting currency in /settings/currencies:
- if the default reporting currency is
EUR, the billing page shows the EUR Stripe plan prices - for any other reporting currency, the billing page shows the USD Stripe plan prices
Each plan card shows:
- the plan name
- the actor allowance
- the monthly price as the primary line
- the annual price as a quieter secondary line underneath
The billing interval is chosen underneath the plan cards. You can switch between:
MonthlyAnnual, including a2 months freecallout inside the annual option
If you want more detail before paying, use the comparison link in the subscribe section. It opens a modal with the included allowances and features for the self-serve plans side by side.
Stripe Checkout is still the final source of truth for taxes, payment details, and confirmation.
Manage an active subscription
Once a Stripe subscription exists, the billing page shows a Manage subscription button that opens the Stripe Billing Portal.
Use the portal to:
- update payment details
- resume a scheduled cancellation before it takes effect
- manage other Stripe-supported subscription actions allowed by your portal configuration
Cancellation timing
When you cancel an active Stripe subscription, Orgonaut first asks you to confirm the cancellation from a modal on the billing page.
After you confirm, Orgonaut does not start its export grace period immediately.
Instead:
- the subscription stays active until the end of the current Stripe billing period
- when that billing period ends, Orgonaut starts a 7-day export grace period
- after the grace period expires, the organisation account is locked
While cancellation is scheduled but the billing period has not ended yet, the billing page:
- shows a
Cancelledstatus badge in the top plan card - shows the Stripe period-end date
- makes it clear that the organisation account stays active until that date
Trial and plan status
The billing page separates:
- the current plan, such as
TeamorBusiness - the current lifecycle status, such as
Trialing,Active,Grace, orLocked
This matters during upgrades from trial because moving to a paid subscription changes the lifecycle status to active, while the plan itself may stay the same if you subscribe to the same plan code shown during trial.
