Regional

Regional preferences control how dates and times appear to people working in one Orgonaut organisation. An owner or administrator with Manage settings access can change them under Settings → Regional.

Organisation timezone

Choose the IANA timezone that best represents the organisation, for example Europe/Dublin, Europe/Berlin, or America/New_York. Orgonaut uses it when displaying stored timestamps such as approvals, activity, generated reports, and other events.

Orgonaut continues to store timestamps in UTC. Changing this setting changes their display, not the recorded instant. Date-only values such as a horizon date, effective date, or source as-of date do not move to another calendar day.

Date and time formats

Choose one date style and either a 24-hour or 12-hour clock. The preview shows the result before you save.

These preferences apply to human-facing screens and reports. Machine-facing values remain predictable:

• API values, imports, exports, and filenames continue to use ISO formats.
• Browser date inputs continue to use the browser's standard date control.
• Stored timestamps remain UTC.

Transformation Cases

Cases no longer ask for their own timezone. A new Case inherits the organisation timezone, date format, and time format.

When regional settings change, draft and in-review Cases follow the new preferences. Approved, superseded, and archived Cases retain their hidden presentation settings so a previously reviewed report does not silently change its timestamp presentation.

The timezone and formats affect presentation only. They do not change a Case horizon, source as-of date, calculation, scenario comparison, or evidence record.
