Charts gives you a hierarchical view of your organisation model.

Use it when you need to inspect reporting structure, identify placement anomalies, or communicate proposed structural changes.

Where to open charts

Live baseline: /charts
Scenario context: scenario-prefixed charts route
Snapshot context: snapshot-prefixed charts route (read-only)

What charts shows

Charts renders:

company/department/team hierarchy nodes
actor cards (people, agents, robots) where relevant
rollup context and visual structure depth
unassigned bucket node for unplaced items

Charts includes practical controls for day-to-day analysis:

search
root org unit selector
type/kind filters
primary-only toggle
show-costs toggle
zoom in/out/reset
layout mode (top-down, left-right, radial)
PNG export

Use root selection plus filters to isolate one branch quickly without losing context.

Context awareness

Charts respects current context label and editability:

Live baseline: editable
active scenario: editable unless scenario is read-only
snapshot/archive: read-only

In read-only contexts, edit controls are hidden, but navigation and analysis still work.

Best-use workflow

Start with top-level hierarchy check.
Narrow with root + filters.
Inspect unassigned and unexpected node density.
Switch to edit mode (if available) for modeling changes.
Export a PNG for stakeholder communication.

Common mistakes

treating charts as only a picture instead of a modeling surface
skipping root/filter narrowing on large orgs
